Is this guy really the vice president?? Joe Biden has to tell us that we might have an uptick in Afghanistan....and he blames lack of personnel and supplies to cover the region properly that we'll have to re-take it. Ya think, Joe? Ya think we haven't been able to allow for full out surge everywhere in the Middle East. Ya think with you and other cretins belly-aching at home we were going to introduce more men into that theatre? Oh and we just got through paying some villagers......yeah I'm pretty sure that'll require more of our troops to be engaged!! That was a poor move.

Plus you blame the past administration for not taking care of that little Taliban prob for you......wouldn't you like it if someone had just done it all before you stepped in there big boy?? Cretins continue to blame someone else for things they have no good solutions for and won't work through. That is the job Joe. You and FOB need to hang on for this ride.

Historical Gun Control Cretins!!

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

List of 7 items:

• Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.
• Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.
• Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
• In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
• While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
• There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
• You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Mad Dad

Here's a cretin. A dad, who quit his job (no one I know personally btw) b/c he didn't want to pay for the medical insurance for his teenage son. He decided it would be better for him to quit the security of his job, of only 6 wks. Now he calls the ex-emploer and is upset b/c he's at the Child Support Office arguing over a purported $30 that he insists should have been paid! He's been gone for 3 wks and now is obsessing abt $30!!! Please, go back to work and you'll have little time to complain and will eventually catch up that $30. I think he's got bigger probs than $30 of child support money. This joker actually requested a housing allowance........from the state I guess. You can apply for that??? Prob good to know, since our financial well-being looks shaky. Sign me up!!

Faulty Climate Claims- Really?

This was never something I could quite buy into. As a scientist having seen some climate data presented to our local group. I was convinced that while possibly on a down cycle, the weather was just that cyclic.

Quite obviously, grand pooba cretin (Al Gore), and supervisory cretin (Theon) are embarassed that James Hansen with NASA has been suspected of manipulating data to creat a stir. What a stir it has been too!! We had the Kyoto Agreements, we've got everyone breathing down our necks to do something- ANYTHING!!! With data that is not truly reflective of what the sitch is. I feel bad for Hansen who now has to continue to try to recover from this for the duration of his career. Now for the rest of the world........uh, global warming...it's not really. Should we still pursue earth friendly ventures? Of course we should, at a normal pace where it makes economic sense.

But before we leave this topic.......let's give a big high five to the guy who double-checked the data himself.......statistician Steve McIntyre!!! Go Steve!! Maybe he should get $40k!!!!!!!!

Payment for Civilians in Afghanistan

I am never a fan of innocent people dying due to their circumstance, just happen to be in the way of or living among terrorist operatives, but our gov't should not have paid $40k to the villagers today. I know the military are only following orders, but the cretins above came up with this scheme to accomplish what. It sets forth a precedent which can now not be turned back. You paid them, now we want more or we want the same. Pretty soon we're handing money out to suicide bombers families....it's bound to happen at this rate.

I will say a prayer for those people who lost their lives as I do for so many folks who pass when they least expect it. I am sorry for their families' loss. Not to minimize it, but they are being held in proximity to these 'targets' on purpose. No doubt threatened with their lives either way. Try to leave we will kill you. Hang around and roll the dice. Sad really.

A Lesson on Government Types

I just grabbed this b/c it was such a good lesson for all of us on gov't. While cretins can be found at all levels of society, I will most likely be highlighting governmental cretins. Unfortunately, I hear the most from them. Everyday cretins can be granted some immunity just b/c we all have bad days.

Cretin Watch begins

Today I realized how often I've used the word cretin lately, so I alerted my friends and associates that this year, 2009, would be a Cretin Fest. Let me catch everyone up to speed.

You'll be seeing me use the word cretin a lot this year. For 2009, that is my word for all the people, with their crazy ideologies, that want to make the rest of the world the cause of their probs and woes. You'll see this word in reference to those who would blame others for their sitch and not take any responsibility for their lives, or the improvement of such. This use will unfortunately cover a large swath of people.

The definition of cretin- 1) one afflicted with cretinism 2) an idiot

This is a much nicer word I think you can agree, than one any of us might use. So you have my permission to join me in my 2009 Cretin Fest, because I think it won't be hard to find them. You will find these are the head cretins right now!! It is absolutely objectionable these men can say these things out loud and NO ONE decries them as offensive to the rest of the nation, our safety, or fairness (let's talk about fairness). Was the New Deal specifically to a certain group of workers?? Assuming that equal rights did not exist, it might have been slanted, but was it?? Did they outrightly debate the target as no male blacks??? Or did they give opportunities to those who sought them no matter who they were?? Is it worthy to expect that the infrastructure investment we make and rely on last yet another 50 yrs? I think so, so why should people (no matter their color or sex) be allowed to tamper with the safety, effectiveness, or quality of our roads, electric grids or bridges or railways??? I do want qualified professionals to do these jobs, I want people who show up to work each day and are not doped up, drunk, or high. I want the same standards to be met so that lawsuits don't abound when these cretins get hurt on the job costing US, the taxpayers, even MORE!!! What do you do with an entire subset of the population who has no interest in working when there is work to do??

And better yet- THESE cretins in Washington debating this think the middle-class is too busy working!!! to care about what is going on. How abt all those people hurt or killed on that bridge that failed in Minn?? Think they want unskilled people to build new bridges or to inspect them? Where is all the oversight going to come for these people who don't know for these non-professionals? I've already said too much for my first entry, I need to stop.

I'm telling you, cretins will be abound this year!! So send me your cretins and I will be proud to display them for all to shake their heads at and wonder what in the world has it come to?
